Connect an AI Assistant

Link this app to your favorite AI assistant so it can read and manage your flooring projects, quotes, and leads on your behalf. You'll sign in and approve access the first time.

Connect to ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT and go to Settings → Apps.
  2. Enable Developer mode and confirm the warning ChatGPT shows about connecting external apps.
  3. Click Create app, give it a name (e.g. "By Design Floors"), and paste the server URL above.
  4. Click Create, then enable the app from the chat composer before prompting it.
  5. ChatGPT will open a consent page — sign in with your app account and click Approve.

Because this app requires sign-in, each AI assistant acts as you — it can only access what your app account allows. You can revoke access anytime from the consent page or your AI client's settings.

If we add new tools or change the app, refresh or reconnect the connector in your AI client — assistants cache the tool list and won't see updates until you do.
